Norris, first baby of the new year to be Much revelry was bestowed on Trac N. Norris as he was named New Year's Baby by Garfield Memorial Hospital. Trac is the first child of Troy and Ann Marie Norris, newcomers to the Panguitch area and has been heralded as the first baby born in this area in 1991. Troy, father, is a fourth grade teacher at Panguitch Elementary School. He was born at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Trac's timely arrival entitles his parents to many gifts and privileges donated by local merchants. Panguitch Newborn Named County's 1st Baby of 1991 formerly a track coach at a high school in Richfield, hence the name for their newborn. The much lauded infant was born on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1991 at 7:33 a.m., just ahead of three others. He weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs. 12 oz., to the delight of his parents. Having many family members to help tend him, Trac will be well cared for. Grandparents, Lee and Phyllis Jensen are from Redmond while Lyle and Mary Norris live not too far away in Richfield. Also on hand to give helpful advice are great-grandparents Marvin Jensen, Redmond; Erma Pickett, Gunnison; and Bill and Doris Norris, Salt Lake City. All came to Panguitch for the occasion. |
