Show By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 Yesterday we woke to a cold winter wind and frozen puddles between be-tween snow drifts. This morning last night's snow and rain were dripping from the roof tops in sunshine sun-shine and a pre-March breeze. In reflecting re-flecting on this past winter one is amazed that it has been so short but so much has happened. In October, Randy and Jackie Klein started to build their home next to the Del Hulets, with whom they have lived since moving here. A total of 17 people in one house is quite an accomplishment. With the help of family and friends, the Kleins moved into their home a month ago. They really wanted to come here from Las Vegas. Jackie said when they had a family council there and asked the kids how they felt about moving to Panguitch, they all ran to their bedrooms and started to pack. She added "thank heaven for family and all the friends" who helped with the house so they could get into it. Kevin and Deanna Moore had the basement for their home down the first pasture lane poured and ready to build this winter. Suddenly, Sud-denly, it seemed, the former Liza Moore home was picked up by huge equipment, moved to the site and placed on the basement. All smiles, Deana told us they are now moved into their new home and are members of the Panguitch LDS Third Ward. Passing the Best Western New Western Motel, we saw great trusses buried in two feet of snow and wondered how long it would be until a new story could be added to the original building. One morning recently by stepping out on the porch, the pounding of nails and the shrieking of skill saws could be heard as Dodds and Talbot Construction, Con-struction, known locally as Johnny and Dave, framed in the new units in the sky almost like magic. The Chris Gilberts are adding a room to the home bought from the Sarah Worthen family. They are using the former garage to make a bedroom and office. Brian Frandsen, Kevin and Debbie Deb-bie Frandsen's son, received his "Faith In God" award. Greg Henrie, son of Jim and Evelyn Henrie was here visiting with his folks for a visit. Happy grandparents Bob and lna Hatch Hanks announced the birth of baby girl, Lily, to son and daughter-in-law. Bob and Caitlin Hanks, Salt Lake City. This is their first child. Beverly Crosby says that daughter daugh-ter Kathy Crosby, Ping, Ariz., who has been diagnosed as having multiple mul-tiple sclerosis, is doing well as she adjusts to new medication. |
