Show EMT Course to Open April 15 In Garfield A course in basic instruction to qualify new Emergency Medical Technicians has been set to start on April 15 in the Bryce Valley area. Classes will take place each Friday evening and all day Saturday for eight consecutive weeks if a minimum of 15 interested individuals sign up for the course by April 8. Fee for the course will be $70, payable at the start of instruction or by special arrangements with Bob McCullough, director of operations. Basic EMT instruction includes 100 hours of class and, 10 hours services in a hospital setting. Both a practical and a written examination must be passed. McCullough stressed that although the class is scheduled for the Bryce Valley area, participants from all parts of the county are welcome.
