Show ELECTION NOTICE TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF ESCALANTE, GARFIELD COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 10th day of March, 1981, a special bond election will be held in the Municipality of the Town of Escalante, Garfield County, Utah, at the place set out below for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said- Municipality, the following proposition: PROPOSITION SHALL THE TOWN COUNCIL OF ESCALANTE, UTAH, BE AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE WATER REVENUE BONDS OF SAID MUNICIPALITY IN THE AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND ($400,000.00) DOLLARS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING ALL OR A PORTION OF THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW PIPELINE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND IN OTHER WAYS IM-PROVING THE EXISTING WATER SYSTEM OF SAID MUNICIPALITY AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF EXPENSES REASONABLY INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS AND WITH THE AUTHORIZATION AND ISSUANCE OF SAID BONDS: SAID BONDS. TO BE DUE AND PAYABLE IN NOT TO EXCEED FORTY (40) YEARS FROM THE DATE THEREOF, TO BE PAYABLE SOLELY AS TO BOTH PRIN-CIPAL AND INTEREST FROM THE NET REVENUES TO BE DERIVED FROM THE WATER SYSTEM OF THE MUNICIPALITY AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TO BE A GENERAL OBLIGATION INDEBTEDNESS OF THE MUNICIPALITY WITHIN THE MEANING OF ANY STATE CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION OR STATUTORY LIMITATION NOR A CHARGE AGAINST THE GENERAL CREDIT OR TAXING POWERS OF SAID MUNICIPALITY? Said eleciton shall be held at the following polling place and the persons indicated as follows will act as election officials: VOTING DISTRICT Escalante No. 1 POLLING PLACE Town Hall ELECTION OFFICIALS Eldred Mitchell, Reed Wooley, Twila Mclnelly ALTERNATE OFFICIALS Walter Leibenguth, Grace Barney. i The voting at such special bond election shall be by ballot, which ballots will be furnished by the Town Council of Escalante, Utah, to the election officials who, in turn, will furnish them to the qualified voters. The polls will be open from 7:00 O'clock A.M. to 8:00 O'clock P.M. There will be no special registration of voters for the special bond election and the official register last made or revised shall constitute the register for such election; except that the County Clerk of Garfield County will register as provided by taw at her office during regular office hours, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and except during the ten-day period immediately preceding the bond election, any person who is or will be eighteen (18) years of age or older and who other will be a qualified elector on the day of this election. The County Clerk will make available, or will cause the registration agents to make available, at the above-described polling place, a registration list or copy thereof listing all registered electors entitled to use such voting place. Absent-voter ballots may be obtained by any person otherwise eligible to vote at this special election but who, on the day of the election, expects to be temporarily absent from the Town or is disabled, by making application therefor either in person or by mailing within thirty (30) days next preceding the election, at the office of the Town Clerk, Escalante, Utah (84726). NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on Wednesday, the 11th day of March, 1981, that being a day not later than ten (10) days after said election, the Town Council will meet at its regular meeting place at 7:30 O'clock P.M. to canvass the returns and declare the reuslts of said election. This is an action brought to quiet title in the Plaintiff to the following described properties situated in Garfield County, Utah, and more fully described as: (1) Beginning 183.78 feet N of the SE corner of the SWV4 of the SWV4 of Sec. 28, Township 34 South, Range 5 West, and running thence N 146.22 feet, thence E 231 feet, thence S 152.94 feet, thence N 88 deg 20 min W 231.1 feet to the point of beginning. (2) Beginning 5 chains N of the SE corner of the SWV4 of the SWV4 of Sec. 28, Township 34 South, Range 5 West, and running thence E 7 chains, thence N 4.5 chains, thence W 7 chains, thence S 4.5 chains to the point of beginning.
