Show $10,000 Loss Counted in Store Burglary Early morning burglars hit H&R Builders Supply in Panguitch sometime after midnight last Friday and escaped with an estimated $10,000 in merchandise from the hardware and building supply store. Entering the rear door forcibly, the. burglars stole nine power saws (Stihl, Husquavarna, McCulloch), four Winchester rifles, three Winchester shotguns, two Ruger pistols, assorted Sharade pocket knives, assorted amounts of Remington and Winchester ammunition and two Sanyo 19-inch color television sets and possibly more as yet undetermined merchandise. Employees Wayne and Arthur Miller discovered the theft upon entering the premises Friday. Investigating officer, Howard Gilmore, Panguitch City police, stated that details of the crime are being thoroughly probed. A reward of $500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the crime. H&R Builders Supply is also willing to reimburse any person who may have inadvertently purchased any of the stolen items in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglars. |
