Show Garfield Farm Bureau Meeting Slated Nov. 3 TROPIC The annual dinner meeting of the Garfield County Farm Bureau will be held November 3 at 7 p.m. in Tropic. Included on the meeting agenda will be consideration of amendments to the county Farm Bureau articles of incorporation. These amendments are of a technical nature and by attending the meeting and discussing theme amendments persons will be given a chance to vote for them. Other agenda items include vote on county, state and national policies and election of county officers. been submitted to the Board of Health. There is reluctance among board members in passing this proposal for the Family Planning Program. The Steering Committee of Five County Association of Governments also will be reviewing the contract and proposal and will make a decision whether these services are needed and wanted in the district. The Board of Health is asking for more input by health care providers and the public. The Southwestern Utah District Health Department Family Planning team will be conducting a survey in the district to try to poll a percentage of the public about their opinions on Family Planning and the need for Family Planning Services in our district. The Family Planning team would be composed of Dr. David Trafton, medical director; Marjorie King, nursing supervisor; Ralph Mower, health educator; Diane Durrand, public health nurse, Washington County; a public health nurse from Iron County and a representative from Social Services in each county. Interested persons in each county should contact Board of Health members to give their opinions of this proposed service. |
