Show Panguitch Patter Betty Brown 676-8829 Bob and Kay McEwen and 2 boys of Layton visited a few days with his mother, Florence McEwen. Mrand M. F. Rulon Sargent, Orem, announce Mr. and Mrs. F. Rulon Sargent, Orem, announce the marriage of their daughter, Francene to Carl G. Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Wood, Orem. The couple was married Aug. 27 in the Provo LDS Temple. An open house honored them that same day at the 'home of the bridegroom's parents. The bride elect graduated from Orem High School and is attending BYU where her major is clothing and textiles. She served an LDS mission in Spain. The bridegroom is also an Orem High School graduate and is attending BYU with a major in chemical engineering. He served an LDS mission in the Australia-Brisbane Mission. Francene is the granddaughter of Wilma and Orien Orton and they attended the lovely wedding and report it was a very grand occasion. George and Thora Proctor visited their children and attended the blessing of their grandson Spencer James, son of James and LuWaun Proctor, Orem. They then visited Coleen and Hyrum Barton, Salt Lake City and the Connie and Glen Whiting family, Clearfield where they canned some fruit and helped Glen tear down a building he had bought. Mrs. Nora Pearson stayed and visited in Circleville while they were gone. Tom and Stephanie Talbot and their lovely children are moving to Cedar City. Tom will be working for Dixo Gas. Mrs. Amelia Woodard celebrated her 81st birthday Sept. 3 and her children came and helped her celebrate Dale and Noram Woodard and 2 grandchildren, Magna, and Art and daughter Wendy Woodard, Cedar City. Jerrie Fackrel and children, spent the weekend in Springville with relatives and they also attended the State Fair and Holiday on Ice. Jerrie also attended a photographers and writerwork-shop in Salt Lake City. Kirk Lusty gave his mission report in sacrament meeting Sunday all of his sisters and their husbands and families were there. Ward and IaRae Moore visited the Ray Englcsteads and Eliza Moore over the weekend. Dean Englestead, Orem, visited his parents, and attend Kirk Lusty's mission report meeting. Pres. Ingra Richards. Edra Miller and Diana Houston attended the state BPW fall board meeting in Salt Lake City over the weekend. Visiting the Rulon Princes over the Labor Day weekend were Dan and Ivy Hyatt, Richfield The next three days Fay Ella's sister, and husband, Deloa and Gilbert Reed, North Hollywood, Calif., stayed with them. Rick and Susan Sawyer of St. George, visited the Lyle Sawyers over the weekend. Uncle Allen and Aunt Allie Frost have been down in their home for 3 weeks. Dordon and Dolly Collins have returned home from a months trip to Northwest. Daughter Alice Priest and children, Salem, Ore., visited here three weeks and they took them home. While there, they visited with sister, Mrs. Jossie Hughes, Astoria, Ore. They attempted the trip to Alaska but had to back out due to rain. They had a good trip despite 11 days of rain out of 14. While Alice visited here she saw many old friends and familiar places. She also attended sessions in the Manti and St. George LDS Temples. Enroute home they visited friends in Salt Lake City and Mrs. Pat Mikulewicz Roberts in Idaho. Wes, Evie and Tonya Edwards visited with their parents, Louise and Ken Edwards at Panguitch Lake this week. They were celebrating a much needed vacation after Wess's four years in the Coast Guard. Also visiting the Panguitch Lake home of the Edwards were Art and Irene Seymour form Covina, Calif. |
