Show Marriott Listens To Local Problems Dan Marriott, Utah 2nd District Congressman visited the Southern Utah communities in his mobile office, spendig a day in Garfield County area. The reception at Escalante was tremendous with over 50 people showing up to the executive and dinner meetings. Most of the questions were asked about the economy of the nation and county and then wilderness problems, realizing putting much of the county's area in wilderness would effect the economy of the county. In a public appearance on television following the visit to the southern Utah area Mr Marriott stated he felt the business of Salt Inkc City should relocate in southern Utah where they have good labor force and no air pollution. He talked to the citizens of each community, finding out the problems and concerns they had stating he would go back to his office and try to find the answers to these problems and get back with the people. . |
