Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair 79-84S The Leonard Bales family were in California for the holidays. Visiting with the Adrian Pollocks this past weekend were the Grant LeFevre and Dee Pollock families from Salt Lake City and Ephraim. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Charlson are the parents of a baby girl born Dec. 30th. The Vernal Shakespears spent the Christmas holdiays with their daughter Palma Miles and family in Cedar City, Elizabeth Barton is visiting with her children in Salt Lake City and Orem. The Jack Pollocks enjoyed a visit from their daughter Jackie and family, from Boise, Ida., for the ten day holiday season. Their small daughter returned home with them, after spending the past month with her grandparents in Tropic. Elizabeth Cairo spent Christmas with her parents in Chicago, and Mary Jean Roach spent the holidays with her parents in Park City. The Jerry Mecham family from Green River spent the holidays with the Malen Mechams. They also visited with brothers Lowell and Stanley and their families. The Arnold Adairs visited with their son Larry and family in Rexburg, Ida. They send their love and best wishes to their friends in Tropic. The Eldon Brinkerhoff family visited with their daughter and family in Las Vegas this past week. The LaMar Shakespears spent the New Years weekend with the Brinkerhoffs in Tropic. Georgia Flannigan and family are visiting with Minerva Dutton. The Norman Littlefields received word that their daughter-in-law, Charlotte Littlefield and granddaughter, small daughter of the Mazel Littlefields, were Injured in an automobile accident in Louisiana this past weekend. They are former Tropic residents. Jane Sudweeks is visiting with her son Alan and family in Layton. The Malen Littlefields made a trip to Salt Lake City to visit their son and family. Ronald McGee visited with his aunts Verdella and Minnie Nielsen during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wintch have a new granddaughter born to their daughter Valerie and husband in Moses Lake, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wintch are the great-grandparents. The Obie Shakespears had daughters Elna, Esther and finance; and L. Dee and Susan Shakespear home for the weekend. The Lester Clarkes had all of their children, except Richard and their families home for Christmas. The Clem Johnsons have their daughter and family from California visiting with them. The Larvin Pollocks have three of their grandchildren from Texas visiting with them for a few weeks. The Dean Wintchs had their daughter Paula and family, and son Dennis and family home this past weekend. Lenny Gordon Pollock, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pollock, received his name and a blessing by his father in church Sunday. Marie Pollock was home for the holidays with her parents. Bill and Stacey Pollock and daughter, visited with the Larvin Pollocks. Visiting with the Clive Bybees were their chidlren Aaron, Gary, Keven and S ha iron and Chris White and daughter. Sandra and Terry Ward spent Christmas with Ella Bybee. R. and Dixie Shakespear spent New Years In Cedar City with their sons, Rett, Danny and Chad. Next Sunday the bishop will hold his youth council meeting at 3 p.m. and ward correlation meeting at 8 a.m. All persons involved in these activities should be in attendance. Memberships for George, Leda, Robert and Brian Jolley were read in the meeting Sunday. We are happy to welcome them as members of our ward. The David Mechams spent a few days in Salt Lake City and Taylorsville visiting with their daughter and Margaret's family. The Owen Shakespears spent Christmas with their daughter Roberta and family in Tooele. During the week they enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Whittaker from Circleville and over the weekend their daughter, Nadine Brockman and family from Idaho, came to spend a few days with them. |
