Show i - I Tropic Topics ELLA ADAIR 671-2311 Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wintch ha ve a new granddaughter born Dec. 17 to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Goulding (Hannah) in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ut-tlefield have a new granddaughter born Dec. 18 to Mr. and Mrs. Neil Littlefield in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Littlefield and sons of Louisianna are spending the Christmas holidays with the Norman Littlefields. The college students are all home for the holidays. Many Tropic residents are spending a few days confined to their homes with the flu. We hope that they will all be well and feeling better for Christmas. The power was off for five hours Sunday but this did not hinder the Relief Society chorus . . . they presented their Christmas program an hour late ... but it was a beautiful presentation, giving us the true Christmas spirit. These ladies fihonlrt rppplvA tha htohact compliments for their work in preparing the program. Viola Marshall and son Roy were recently in Salt Lake City . where he vrec'elVed' ' medical care. On the way home she visited with her son, Franklin and family. Word has been received that the Alton Shakespears are in India Springs, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Syrett are the parents of a baby girl born Dec. 16th in Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Syrett and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Clark are the proud grandparents. Phyllis Stewart enjoyed a visit from her grandmother 1 lor tense Munson this week. Joan and Ron Ottenson and son spent Sunday with the Charley Wintchs. The Dean Wintchs have their daughter, Valerie and family, Moses Lake, Wash, home for the holidays. Rodney Sudweeks came to Tropic this past week and took his mother, Jane back to Salt Lake City with him to spend the Christmas holidays with him and his family. While up there she will also visit with her son Alan and family A Christmas neighbor party was held at the LaMar Feltner home Saturday night. The John LeFevres, Larry Adairs, Larry Holmans, Jack Pollocks, Max Stewarts and their children were all there. Barbara and Cheryl Alfano and Dee Pollock w ere in Tropic Mrs. Alfoano is getting her home cleaned and ready for rental. The Larvin Pollocks have all of their family home for Christmas. This is the first Jerry has been home for four years, having been in Germany with the Army. The Jack Chynoweths have daughter, Deanna and family home from Iowa for the holidays Lanny Littlefield, Gloria Littlefield, Kim and Kathy Ott, Gary Bybee, Brant Barton, Jay Johnson, and Lydia Pollock were speakers in sacrament meeting. Tim and Shane Garrett and the Relief Society chorus presented special musical numbers. The Primary presented a special Christmas program Christmas eve in the chapel, followed by a visit from Santa Claus. A baptismal service was held Christmas eve in the Tropic ward. |
