Show Merry Widows From Area Meet Monthly Twenty-four Merry Widows from Tropic, Cannonville and llcnrieville have met once a month for the past year under the direction of La el rhynoweth, Henrieville. The activities they have held have ml only been enjoyable for the ladies but educational as well, Mrs Chynoweth said. The group held handicraft shows, with many beautiful articles, they had made, on display. They exchanged home made gifts at Christmas. In January they met for dinner wearing a Christmas gift and told about the giver of the gift. They have quilted on a quilt for Henrieville Relief Society and attended an evening of organ music, supplied by Elva Clark. Throughout the past year the Merry Widows have made many happy memories together. Besides the ladies shown in the picture the ladies usually attending these dinners are Luella Mangum, Elizabeth Barton. Ella Bybee, Amplus LeFevre, Minerva Dutton, Alice Dunham, Fern Hen derson, Rachael Thompson, Minnie Smith, Alline Riddle, and Margie Ford. Mary Jo Rich |
