Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ALPINE MATRON Funoral services for Mrs. Lena Johnson McDanlel, .wife of Arthur McDanlel, of Alplno, who died Sunday, Sun-day, were held Ior Alpine Wednesday afternoon with Counselor Jos. Marsh In charge. The first song, "0 My Father" was sung by the choir, aftor which the Invocation was Offered by C. P. Warnlck of Pleasant Grove. The choir then sang "Resting Now From Oare and Sorrow." Mrs. Mae Marsh then read a sketch of. the life of the deceased. Patrl-' arch Henry Moyle ..was the first speaker, and was followed by Up. Nelson of Provo. Aqnartette by D.J. Strong and others Bang "Sbmetlmo Wb'll Understand". C. L. Warnlck then spoke, after which resolutions of respect from the Relief Society wero read, by Mrs. Mary B. Oakey. A quartette consisting of" Warren Clark and others song "Load Me Gently Homo"; Up. J. W. Vanco of. fored a few closing remarks, aftor which the choir sang "Farewell AH Earthly Honors". The bonedictlon was pronounced by Leroy Dalr. Interment In-terment took place In Alpine and Don C. Strong dedicated the,grave. Lona J, McDanlel was. born in Pleasant Grove, May 2, 1877, tho daughter dau-ghter of eter and Christina Peterson Peter-son Johnson, who wero natives of Denmark. She was married June 16, 1896 to Silas Arthur McDaalel pt Alplno and they have since made' their homo here. Tho deceased was an active Church worker, haying acted as Relief Society So-ciety teacher, worked in the Primary and the M. I, A,t for several years. Mrs. McDanlel was ihVmothe ot fivo children, who died In their infancy. in-fancy. She raised, however, her brother's bro-ther's child, Mrs. Ralph Strongwho survives her. Besides her husband, her mother, Mrs. Peter Johnson survives, sur-vives, also two brothers, Peter aad Irving Johnson of Pleasant Grove; and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie McAphee and Mrs. Theodore Dateman of -Lehl. |
