Marjorle Griffin brought Harvey Liston home from the hospital but he did not stay long, he developed severe leg pains so Roger Attwood took him in the ambulance back to Panguitch and Dr. Dug' gin sent him on to Salt Lake City to the LDS hospital where he had leg surgery for the removal of three blood clots, he came through that ok, then had a stroke caused from a blood clot on the brain, it was in a pl?ce they dared not remove it so are trying to dissolve it with medication. He was slightly Improved at the last report. Rol Porter is still in the Pro-vo hospital. They took the t stitches from his leg and had I " him up in the wheel chair so I he is better. Hal Shurtz took f his father Calvin to Richfield 'f to the doctor. Ernie Griffin fell in his basement bruising l him up considerably. Layton ; Griffin had more surgery at the Utah Valley Hospital and LaRue reported him doing bet- v ter. Mayo Roundy took Louise back to Salt Lake City to her doctor. Yukon Norman went to Richfield for a series of treatments. Daughter Lana took .her. Robert and Louise Liston took son Matt to Cedar City to the doctor. Others having busl- gi: ness in Cedar City were Vernon i and Margene Stowe, Bob and Pat Sorensen, Mae Von Taylor and kids, Marvin and Louise t Mounteer and girls. V Leah Griffin went to Duches ne to help daughter Marlene Stowe with that new baby boy. Val and Ann Haws were here from Cedar City. Stan and Ne-f . ta Haycock had Dawnetta and baby home. The Haycocks went to Cedar City to meet . daughter-in-law Barbara who brought the kids from Las Vegas for dental appointments. Barbara reported Mary and LaVern doing OK. They had taken LaVern shopping and he got quite tired propeling that wheel chair to keep up to them. The Rodney Cottams had Susan McGee home for several - -- - days. The Lloyd Alveys had son Steven and wife here from Richfield. Bill and Clorene Vld-rine went to Salt Lake City for a load of building material. Sox Spencer went to St Oe-orgc where he has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Woolsey spent the weekend here. Several car loads of citizens went to Tropic for the ball game, our boys won. The Alvey college girls, Irene Helen and Ludnda came that far with friends from Cedar City and came on home with their folks. Marti Vidrlne and Lee Liston were also home. Darrel and Dl-anne Alvey and son Dale went to Roy to the Cutter races. They visited the Ray L. Alveys. Melba Brooks Kept Nadlne. Ivan and Nelda Willis, Ed and Veda Mitchell took a trip to California to visit their kids, Maureen and Wayne Dean, Jerry and Gayla Mitchell who all live in the same area, they returned home safely and report having had an enjoyable time. Several car loads of young people went to St. George for Temple services. A big percent of the population went to Tropic for conference Walt and Flora Lelbenguth attended then spent the rest of the day visiting relatives In Henrievllle. Sunday visitors at the Frank Inilay home were Elizabeth Ba-ugh of Henrievllle, and Lena Daly of Panguitch. The Imlays got word of the death of Lawrence Mansfield of Ogden, he is a son-in-law of the Harry Baughs and passed away following heart surgery. In Sacrament meeting Sunday, the North Ward speakers were Dan Balrd and Tom Kohler. The South Ward program was put on by the Seminary under the direction of the Pre' sldent, Stan Munson; Invocation was by Greg Vidrine, talks were given by Stan Munson, Sharee Coleman, Welden Wilson, Shirley Curly, Vadis Chrls-tensen, Loraine Crooks, Barbara Peck and Seminary teacher Gary Fontaine. Piano solos were plaved by Derlyn Mitchell and Dianne Ridley, Benediction was by Dal Liston.. At a recent Town Board meeting records were gone over and Mayor Mohr Christen-sen reports the town In better financial condition than it has ever been, he gives the credit to and wishes to compliment former mayor, the late Billle Davis, and board members, LaVern Griffin, Bob Sorensen, Walt Lelbenguth and Lynn Gates. rJ M iUi-j-iIiiii --Jj-p. Mel " and Judy Brooks had business in Salina. They took Evadean Liston that far and her kld met her taking her to Salt Lake City to be with Harvey.
