Show Services Held For Clara A. Mikulewicz Clara A. Mlkulcwicz 59, died at her home In Panguitch, Utah, on Wednesday, May 1, 1974, after a lonf illness. She was co-owner and publisher of the Garfield County News. Clara was born May 25, 1915, to Isadore and Anna Rabbas at Coaldale, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Ashley, Pennsylvania High School, where she captained the girls' basketball team which had won the state championship. After two years of semi-professional play she played one year as a professional. She was married to Stanley J. Mikulewicz, a newspaperman, on December 26, 1937, in Our Lady of Vilna Roman Catholic Church In New York City. They purchased the Garfield County News and moved to Panguitch In February, 1950. She was an outstanding newspaperwoman. Surviving her her are, husband; daughters, Mrs. Reed (Patricia) Roberts, Mrs. Paul (Constance) Kavros, Kristlne, all of Nampa, Idaho; son, Michael, U.S. Navy, Philippines; eight grandchildren; brother, Albert Rabbas, Ashley, Pennsylvania. Funeral Services were held at two p.m. on Monday, May 6. in the Panguitch L.D.S. South Ward Chapel, with Bishop Laurel Holman conducting. Prelude and postlude music by Elizabeth Foy and Barbara Orton; Invocation, Jay A. Rlggs; Songs, "I Love You Truly", Pat Dix; "Peace, I Leave With You", South Ward Ladies Chorus: Talks, Earl Roe and Ingra Richards; Benediction, Dan A. Tebbs. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary. |
