Show Bryce Valley Earns Round-Robin Spot Bobcats Whistled Out Whistle blowers confusion resulting in one more point for the opposition lost the Panguitch Bobcats the chance into the Round Robin basketball tournament. Panguitch as the Garfield loop's fourth place team played off against Wayne at Junction for the round robin spot. The game was nip and tuck all the way with everything tied up 47 to 47 at the end of the regular play time. In over time again it was nip and tuck. With only a couple of seconds to play the official at the scene called a jump ball, but was overruled by the whistle footer on the other end of the court. Wayne netted the two foui pitches to win the game by 55 to 54 score. Meanwhile at Richfield tte Bryce Valley Mustangs were having no trouble at all dumping Wasatch Academy by lopsided score, almost doubling it before the evening was over. So the Mustangs go into the round robin while Panguitch can now let the air out of the ball and say "wait until next year." Valley defeated Piute Friday to win undisputed Garfield loop championship. They together with Escalante and Bryce Valley make up our round robin reprepnation, Year finals were Valley 7-1, Piute 6-2. Ecalante 5-3, Panguitch 2-6,-Bryce Valley 0-8. |
