Show LIVESTOCK NUTRITION AND FEEDLOT SEMINAR The Utah State University Extension Service and Animal Science Department are sponsoring a one day cattle feeding school at Richfield on Thursday, January 27th, according to Grant Esplln, Area Livestock Specialist. Dr. John K. Matsushima, Beef Feeding Specialist and Livestock Nutritionist from Colorado State University will be the featured speaker. Dr. Matsushima is recognized as one of the outstanding feedlot nutritionists in the United States. He also does consultation work for some of the large feedlots in his area. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. in the Richfield High School Auditorium. The morning session will be devoted to warmup cattle feeding and the afternoon to finishing cattle. Dr. John Butcher, Livestock Nutritionist from Utah State University will discuss corn silage feeding trials in Utah and possibly some results of feeding alfalfa cubes to weaner calves. The afternoon session will end at 3 p.m. Anyone interested is invited to attend. |
