Show Around and About Boulder LENORA LeFEVRE Sunday, the 3rd, Bishop Uv-on Roundy presented a Duty to God Award to Noel Lyman who completed his first year assignment in the Aaronlc Priesthood. A huge mass of bitter cold air brought freezing temperatures which dropped to 14 below in Central Boulder and 20 below at the hydro plant on Jan. 3rd. Monday night the temperature dropped to 15 below and 21 at the hydro plant. Tuesday night it warmed up 2 degrees both places. A colder night was recorded Jan. 11, 1963 when it dropped to 16 below. The cold weather brought the usual miseries of frozen pipes, cars and tractors that would not start. Obe and Dora Wright and LeFalr Hall were In Richfield on business. Otto and Idons Haws were in Panguitch, (be Dan Austins were in Salt Lake. Max and Veda Behunln recently returned from a vacation in Las Vegas and Phoenix. The Dell LeFevres and Ar thur Lyman came home for a few days. Emcron and Renon Peterson traveled to Springville Sunday. They left Jimmy Dean with his mother to attend kindergarten. Their granddaughter Shana came back to stay for awhile. Blom Ormond is taking her vacation now and will be home all of January. Progress on the new highway slowed down this week. Only a few men came back to drill upon the sandstone ledge north of the road where the new highway will be, Terry Hall had a surprise party on his birthday sponsored by teenaf ers from here and Escalante. Rcnon Peterson, daughter a Cindy and Nina Moosman attended a Primary Preparation meeting in Escalante Wednes- 1 day night. Vern and Emma Jane Han- & sen received word that son Paul Is hospitalized In Cedar 3 City, recovering from a back m Injury. M |
