Show y H I 1 U N G MA wr N BIDED X UT FALL aut N D E RN lur 0 R rap A t richard madsen of honeyville has lower limbs paralyzed when horse reared over backward BacR ward tuesday afternoon richard madsen son ot of mr and mrs J C madsen who reside on a farm about three miles north of honeyville was rendered unconscious and had his legs and hips badly bruised when the horse he be was riding became frightened and reared over backward falling on its rider the accident occurred on the highway near the madsen home and mr madsen was so badly injured that the lower part of 0 his body and legs were paralyzed about an hour after the accident he was found lying at the side of the road way by his brother leo madsen and his injuries were so severe it was necessary to convey him to his home on a stretcher the young roan man was given surgical attention and it was reported yesterday that he was able to move his toes while his hia legs seemed to remain in a paralyzed condition mr madsen had recently returned from chicago where he be went to study dentistry but after arriving in the east found it necessary to undergo an operation tor for trouble so gave up his studies for the present and came home |
