Show The Word From Boulder BY ALICE ALVEY Relatives and friends here received word of three new babies born recently to form er residents: the Morrell Orm-onds of Security, Colorado had a girl on Feb. 23rd ; Linda and Sam Bongiorno of Hollywood, Calif, had a girl on the 22nd. and the Ray L. Moosmans of Linden a boy on March 3rd Ray L. has enough boys now for a baaket ball team Marilyn Griffin and Dora Wright spent several weeks in California They took Marilyn's mother, Mrs. Watson home to Santa Monica and visited oth er relatives Net.. Poulson took her rtau ghter Dorthy Jean Alvey 10 Salt Lake, along with her five kids, to take a plant for the first part of their journey to join her husband Sherrill in the Philliplnes, then took her lster Ila Jepsen of Richfield to Cedar City to catch a plane for Pittsburg where she will visit with their sister Genevive Weir and family and friends The Fish and Came men have been in town this past week trying to trap more wild turkeys The Forest Service has had a couple of men here cleaning out the Hanger Sta tion, lot of willows, etc. Makes quite a difference in the looks of town What we really should do is have a community clean up program The Ferrall Moosmans of Annabella visited with his mo ther, M's Gertrude Ormond, on Sundav the 3rd The Cecil Criener's g'rl Klea Shurtz, husband and baby girl visited here for a few days We had snow, fog and rain during the past weok The load", were just getting travel able but v. ere about as bad a (continued inside) BOULDER I (continued gain Sunday as a week or so again. According to the doctors the operation on his feet was successful and he is recovering rapidly. My sister Wsnda Munk and her husband brought me home from Price and stayed a few days before returning to their home in Mil-ford. Cleo Reed Lyman was home over the weekend from Salt Lake. Linda and Clyde Orm-ond were home from CSU for a visit with their brother Keith and family before they leave for Germany next week for a three year stay with the Armed Forces. Truman Lyman is in Wayne Co. working for Don Taylor. Darrell and Cecil Alvev finished up the Job they've been doing out in the Circle Cliff area and became amateur mountain climbers when they had to reach the top of Impossible Peak. The Joe Covingtons spent the weekend in Richfield on business. Joe and Carter and Kay Ormond went to Pangultch on business on the 6th. The Otto Haws' were there the same day. LeFalr Hall went to the hospital for a checkup last week concerning his recent surgery. All the mothers of Elementary school age children attended the Parent and Teachers conference In Escalante on the 7th. Ward conference was held here on the 10th. Present were President Chase Shurtz, Malen Mecham and Reeves Baker. Stake Presidency. Stake officers representlg the organizations were Dewey Willis, Sunday School; Earl Jolley. YM-MIA; Ruby Griffin. YLMIA; Dixie Shakespear, the Primary and Lizzie Porter, the Relief Society. Dale Marsh, Stake Clerk, was also present. All spoke during the meeting. |
