FOREST SERVICE NEWS Temperature Varies From Hot To Cold Work On Three Creeks Improvement High daytime temperatures ranged from 53 to 74 this past week The low, a freezing 19 occurred on Sunday, May 14th No precipitation was recorded the past week The Three Creeks cattle al lotment on the Panguitch Lake District, underwent the first phase of development on May 2, with application of 2700 gallons of a hervicide-diesel mix ture. to approximately 900 acres of sagebrush. Treatment is intended to kill the sage brush, and reduce competition for moisture with desirHble forage Development will continue this fall, with the chaining of approximately 500 acres of pin yon-juniper and the develop ment of the Three Creeks and Chokecherry springs. The area will then be seeded to desirable grass and browse species, to provide forage for livestock and game.
