It is resting and sizing up tho situation beforo it begins another gallop. Wo havo much the same thing at every presidential election. As the time approaches for tho incumbent to rotiro from office business interests begin to wonder what tho new man will bo and WHAT HE WILL DO. Capital always has an oyo open for breakers ahead. It never goes blindly onto tho rocks of uncertainty. After tho now president has been inaugurated, and uncertainties uncer-tainties begin to crystalizo into in-to something definite, business will bo able to make a fairly accurate survey and determine just what lino of action it is advisable to tako. That, in all liklihood, will mark tho beginning of the end of our period of commercial rest. Now idle wheels will spin again. Men will return to their occupations, and the bus-inoss bus-inoss world will soon be at normal nor-mal again. Wo soo nothing in tho present pres-ent situation to occasion any alarm. Wo see every indication of an early return to activity. Let us husband our strength and our resources and await v itli confident patience tho day when tho tide begins to turn.
