Show Henrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH Harry and Thora Partner went to Pangultch on Friday. Then they went to Ordervllle to visit her sister Bessie Croft for her birthday, and In Fredc- nia, Arizona with her mother Mrs. Dean Hughes and the Junior Tait family. We had a beautiful snow storm on Sunday. It brought us more moisture than we have had all winter. There is still lots of sickness here in town. Birthdays this week are Dorothy Smith, Conrad Johnson, Marlon Willis, Russell Dutton, Shawns Qullter, and Kenny Shakespear. Dorothy had some friends In for a birthday party. Anniversaries the past two weeks were Frank and Lula Moore and Lee and Thelma Smith. The Primary Lihoma Girls held their daddy-daughter party Sunday night at the chapel. Mrs. Wynona Henderson and five children of Granger are visiting with her parents, the Kenneth Oouldlngs, Sr., and her two brothers Kenneth and Steven Gouldlng and families. Elmo and Iris Bushnell left Thursday for Fillmore to attend funeral services Friday for John C. Ashman, husband of Joy B. Ashman, a sister to Elmo. Kay and Laura Clark spent the Washington weekend here from Glen Csnyon, at the Eugene Quilter home. Keith and Cora Johnson and family of Springvllle visited with her parents, the Herschel Partners. Leland Griffin attended commissioners meeting in Panguitch on Monday. Jerry and Dave Mlllett and children of Cedar City spent the weekend at the Ora Shafer home. Several local people attend ed the wedding reception at Tropic on Saturday for Ver-Jean Chynoweth and Steven Clark. Jeris and Bonnie Llles from Salt Lake City stopped to visit with Ruby Moore and other relatives. Darreld and Mary Lou Nell-son went to Salt Lake City on Thursday with her father Desmond Twltchell. They both had check apt with Dr. Hen-rie, and both were doing well. Katie and Johnnie Mortin and boys came down to attend their niece VcrJcan and Steven Clark's wedding, and on other business. Frank and Lula Moore and Roxie Chynoweth went to Panguitch on Thursday to get their car license plates and on other business. Elayne Johnson and Joanne Rose went to Salt Lake City for the FHA Convention. Bart and Peggy Palmer and two children of Escalante called on his grandmother Virginia Smith. They had heard that Shaunna Reese and three children of Las Vegas were there visiting. Shaunna came to attend Steve and VerJean Clark's wedding. Her friend Bob Moore accompanied her. Grandmother Virginia enjoyed baby sitting her three great grandchildren that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jsck Carl of Alaska visited Virginia Smith and Allene Riddle last Thursday. He was stationed here a-bout 30 vears ago In the CCC camp. Everyone called him Smokey when he was here. He was so haooy to come back and see old friends and how the country had changed. |
