Show Lieutenant Richard J. Crosby Awarded Army Commendation Medal The Army Commendation Medal has been awarded to First Lieutenant Richard J. Crosby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Crosby. Text of the letter of commendation accompanying the medal is given below: CITATION ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL By direction of the Secretary of the Army, the Army Commendation Medal has been a-warded to First Lieutennt Richard J Crosby. 528-52-9021, Infantry. United States Army, for meritorious service In Korea during the period 13 June 1968 to 12 July 1960, while serving as Central Range Control Officer, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G3, headquarters, 2nd Infantry Division. During this period, Lieutenant Crosby's personal excellence, sound Judgment and wholehearted dedication to duty have earned him the highest respect of all his associates and place him far above his contemporaries. Particularly outstanding haa been Lieutenant Crosby'a accomplishment in the field of maintaining a-v a 1 1 a b 1 e range facilities. Through his initiative and direction, the 2nd Infantry Division ranges have been brought up to the highest standards.
