Alice gets around but is frail. Maggie Lay and Anice Schow are still hospitalized in Panguitch. Mary R. Mclnelly is about the same, still with Arthur and Twila, it is bard on her Independent nature to have to be helped. Vic Cot tarn keeps taking Euzell back to Cedar City trying to get her eyes properly fitted. LaVern Griffin has his leg braces but Is having quite a struggle getting so he can handle them, he Is still north. Kim a Mclnelly is being treated in Salt Lake City, Millie is there with her. Kay Lynn ShurU had an attack of something and Dr. Kazan flew in to treat him. Visited with Verda Uston, she has her arm cast off and trying to get the limb back in use. The North ward Relief Society really missed her at the quilt-ings. Nelda Munson is mighty tender footed as she had some surgery on them last week. Lorell Munson went to Salt Lake for freight. If you go to Munson's store and see a window display featuring legs they are not for sale, just holding up the girls who are get ting an early start on spring cleaning and painting. Marie Durfey went north and brought her husband Brent home. Minnie Davis went to Roy and brought Sari ah Alvey home, Mother got all tuned up and looks much better. Melba Lay and son returned to their home in Idaho. Neal Liston took Alberta and Neta Haycock to Tropic for a school lunch meeting. Clarice Griffin and Orilla Cowles went to Henrieville for hair dos. Billie Davis and Blake Robinson took their horses to Wyoming to be trained for the coming racing season. Work on the BLM projects down the desert is ready to start; Joe Jessop of Colorado City brought in a cat and other equipment for the job. He visited John and Lola Zenz. The Zenzs also had Bob and Mary Manker and Murrey Jackson of Reno, Nevada, came to check on the damage and loss when the Manker's house was broken into and things stolen. Sheriff Middle ton and Reed Wooley are working on the case. Otho Bulkley was here making his routine check. Hulda Spencer came from Mt. Pleasant to celebrate her birthday anniversary at the Barton Deuel home. She was joined by Tom and Wilma Franks and two daughters of Kearns, Kay and son from Tooele, Jay and Phyllis and two kids of Orem, Verge and family of Mt Pleasant. Osmyn and Idonna and family from Hatch Special guests were Johnny and Ina Thompson of Panguitch and their daughter Oma Sew; the Spencers from here, Clyde. Lillie, Grant and Iaretta. There were 29 people which pretty well filled the Deuel home Hulda looks good and planned to visit in Hatch awhile. Darrell and Dianne Alvey, Mel and Judy Brooks, Bill and Dawn Griffin and family went to Elsinore for a Riding Club dance, Bill and family furnished the music Those we heard of having business in Pan guitch were Deon Alve, Nancy Dreuby, Judy Kelly, Larry and Billie Chynoweth and kldi, Sox. Effle and Marion Spen eer, Mike Schow. Erma Gates, Mont Griffin. Nellie Bailey. Ar cola Gates, Isabell Spencer. Nell and Theo Barker, Cedar City was visited by McKay and LaFaye Bailey, Theron Mitchell, Stains and Fon Mecham, Marlene and Jillyn Haws. Mar lene Haws and Fon Mecham visited in Tropic and Panguitch. John and Dick Drue-bay went to Provo to the dentist. Emmett Porter had a visit from his nephew Que and part of his family from Kearns, it was better for him than a ton ic. Reeves and Laura Baker went north for appointments with their doctors, they visited Laurel and family In Provo and attended a ward Gold and Green Ball. The floor show was especially appreciated by them as their granddaughter Julie Lynn danced In it. Stanley Liston, son Brad and daughter Lois went to Cedar City, Lana came home for the week end. Koleen Griffin is training to work in the post office, she said there Is a lot more to it than she had always thought Some of the women have organized a new club calico the Escalantc Enthusiasts with Dianne Alvey president. Their object is for self and civic improvement. Neth ella Woolsey and Orilla Cowles met with them and Judy Kelly was chosen to represent the dub in the clean up campaign. Those we heard of going to Richfield were Lillie Spencer and LaFaye Bailey, Rol and Mlna Porter and Clarice Griffin; we went to get our Junior a suit for the Prom coming up. With a teenage driver we made the trip in record time, he saw that sign US 89 and figured it meant us go 89 miles an hour but the old pickup would not quite make it. Ott and Hilda Roundy spent the weekend in Monroe and we talked to Ott in Richfield, he had nothing else to do while Vernon Dean was at the bar ber shop. We also talked to Vaunda and Dorthy Willis Ivan and Nelda Willis had business in St. George and Cedar City. A South ward sup per was held followed by a MIA music festival. Vergene and Caroline Porter took their baby back to Salt Lake City for a checkup. BUI Boyle Jr. was home for a furlough and got employment in St. George. Doyle Cottam was home for the weekend. Wallace Woolsey of Cedar City spent a day here. Newell and Dorthy Cowles of Richfield were here. C. R. Grif fin has a new pickup truck. In Satrament meeting Sunday the North ward was enter talned by the family of Bobby Griffin; talks were given by Bobby, Delane, Wade, Jeri anc Sherrill; Rosella played a piano solo. Wade i going on an LDS mission to the New England States, he goes Into the mission home March 6th. In the South ward Wallace Roundy and Betty R Alvey told of their trip to Hawaii and Irene Alvey sang accompanied by-Betty Get yourself in motion, work hard every day, ge a lot ac compiling.
