Show BRYCB CANYON PARK HAS RECORD HIGH VISITORS FOR 1963 Travel to '.Bryce Canyon National Park during the past year was at a record high with 290,000 visitors entering the Park as compared to 251,000 in 1962, and the previous record of 278,000 in 1959. Visitors .using the Park camping facilities were also at a new high; with 67,000 persons camping as compared to the previous high of 54,000. Supt. Louis W. Hallock stated that this,) trend is expected to continue ;as more and more people become aware of the beauty of Southern Utah. Bryce Canyon National Park remains opfcn throughout the year to Parte visitors with, overnight accommodations and supplies available at Panguitch which is 27 miles from the Park on U. S. 89. |
