Show SCENIC TOUR OF PANGUITCH LAKE AREA Nearby Scenic Wonders Attract Local Chamber Of Commerce On Tour Under the sponsorship of the Panguitch Chamber of Commerce a scenic tour of the high places at Panguitch Lake was made last Sunday. Art Bohmfalk, of the Rustic Lodge guided the tour to such places as high Ipson Mountain, Horse Valley, Kings Valley, and Horse Valley Peak. The mountains and valleys were resplendent in all their autumn beauty and mostly the conversation consisted of "ohs and ahs" as over each mountain top new vistas opened up. It was truly a wonderful trip and Mr. Bohmfalk knew just where to take the group to see this area at its best. When we say "little visited places" they were truly that. When we were not craning necks to see tres, rocks, etc., we were marveling at the ability and ease of Mr. Bohmfalk with his four wheel drive vehicle. Up and down steep mountain sides that were only glorified sheep trails and in one place there was only a 2-inch clearance between trees and hairpin curves, it was simply marvelous. Then a leisurely picnic lunch In Kings Valley and we were on our way again. The highlight of the trip was the view point at Horse Valley Peak where you could see in every direction as far as the eye could see. Mr. Bohmfalk promised that he could show us scenery as wonderful as any in the State and this was so. We would like to recommend that everyone see this area around Panguitch Lake. And especially at this time of the year. We surely thank Mr. Bohmfalk for his time, ef-forts and patience many, many stops for pictures; and hope he will invite the Chamber of Commerce to go again. |
