Show VANOUITCH Mr. and Mrs. Errol Dowdell and their daughter and son-in-law, the Veater Goffs, of Henderson, Nevada have returned from a week's vacation, which included a trip to Yellowstone Park, Jackson Hole and Snake River Valley. They visited in Shelley, Wodville, Idaho Falls and Lorenzo, Idaho where Errol lived when he was a boy. They spent a few hours at the cemetery near Lorenzo where his mother and small sister are buried. This is his first trip back since the family moved away in 1912. On their return trip they visited daughter Donna, the Eugene Jones, at Salt Lake, also spending a day at the State Fair. The Goffs' daughter Mrs. Merle Kourie and daughter returned from Salt Lake where she had been visiting with them. The Clem McEwen family, the Errol Dowdells and the Homer McEwens attended the golden wedding celebration at Springdale on Sept. 15 for their 'sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. John Excell. Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Hatch received word of the birth of a new granddaughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hatch of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sutherland of Provo spent the weekend with their son Gordon Sutherland and family. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hoi-man have spent the past ten days In Boston, Mass. where they have been attending the National Legislative convention. Among those attending the dedication of the "Zion Park Bowl" at Springdale last Friday night were the Joe Foy family, the Bob Stowells, the Woodrow Youngs, the J. E. Coopers, the A. L. Elmers, the Harry J. Gardners, and the Mayo Riggs. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cameron, Nancy and Arlene spent a few days at Salt Lake last week, they attended the State Fair while there. Mrs. LaMar Worthen and Etta and the Jerry Worthens visited in Las Vegas last wek. Last week Mrs. Eunice Dug-gins and Mrs. Erna Riggs attended the State Cancer convention at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Farnsworth spent a day in Salt Lake on business enroute to take daughter LeAnn to Lo- gan to attend USU. Barbara and Judy Tebbs are attending USU this year. Tonl Cooper has returned to U. of U. In Salt Lake City. The Vaughn Krebs were recent visitors in town. The J. A. Riggs family spent some time at Salt Lake for the missionary testimonial, they saw son F. G. off to Florida Monday morning. (Continued On Back Page) PANGUITCH, (Continued) Mrs. Than Cooper, Mrs. Gwen Davis and Betty were at Salt Lake over the weekend to attend the Ice Follies, while there they visited at Salt Lake and Tooele with Mrs. Cooper's children and -their fam ilies. Attending the Recorders convention at Salt Lake last week were Mildred Deuel and Rhea Dodds. Fay Lynn visited last week at Nephi with her sister Ella Latimer. Mrs. Grace Y. Veater accompanied her daughter Annette Young to Salt Lake last week, where Annette was entered as Miss Garfield County. Since her return Annette is employ ed as file clerk in a Cedar City furniture store. Mr. and Mrs. Vane Sandin of Henderson, Nevada were weekend visitors at the Jess Miller home. J. Daniel and. Karen Tebbs are the parents of a 6 pound baby girl born Sept. 26 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. The new baby has a brother Craig and a sister Susan. Grandmother Rula Houston is there to welcome the new baby and to help care for Craig and Susan. Dan and Nedra Tebbs are the other set of grandparents. Mrs. Hilda Cameron has returned to St. George for the winter. Michael and Janice Gottfred-son and baby daughter Lorraine visited Sunday and Monday with Janice's parents, the Dan Tebbs. Mr. and Mrs. J. Usher Hen- rle motored to Prescott, Arizona this past weekend where they attended the annual Invitational Horse Show and Sale. Maurice Hatch of Las Vegas spent the weekend visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melt Hatch. Don Steele spent a few days in Salt Lake this past week making arrangements to enter Law School at the University of Utah this fall. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Talbot visited with the DeVaur Talbot family, DeVaur was hospitalized for two weeks after suffering a heart attack but is now at home and doing well. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Talbot attended funeral services for Johnny Anderson at Glendale on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Barton of Paragonah visited with her mother Mrs. John C. Miller. Larry and Metta Jane Whit-taker have moved from Salt Lake to Circleville. Ted and Shirley Chidester are now living in Coalville where Ted is teaching and coaching at the high school. Nila Mae Ipson is home from her tour of Europe and reports having a wonderful experience of her visit overseas. She has returned to continue her schooling at CSU. Janet and David Hatch left Sunday to finish their studies at BYU. |
