Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'-m " clock p.m. Tuesday, Novem- ber 1, 1966, and at that time I 4 publicly opened for construc-S i tion of a Graded and Drained f Roadway in Garfield County, the same being that section of State Road No. 95 from North I Wash to the Dirty Devil River 1 identified as Federal Aid Pro-I ject No. FLH 42(5). I I Th length, of road to be con-f structed or improved is 3.400 I miles, and the principal items I of: work are approximately as I , followsi' 560,000 Cu. Yds. of I Unclassified Roadway Excava-I tion and 64 Cu. Yds. of Class 1 "A" Concrete (AE). The pro-f ject Is "to be completed in 100 I working days. 1 - Prequalifications of bidders 1 is required. Prior to any bld-1 der's receiving plans and spell t ciflcatlons, it will be necess- ary that the bidder have on m file with the State Road Com-m mission of Utah completed and y I approved, the required Pre- qualification Statement pertaining to contractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. Not less than the general prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah, effective August 22, 1966, shall be paid, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed on this project. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department of Labor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (52 Stat. 1060) The State Highway Department, In accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the, Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), Is-sued pursuant to such 'Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively Insure that the contract entered Into pursuant to this advertisement will be. awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination oh the grounds of face, color, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specifications are on' file, in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Price, U-tah, where, they' may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans "may be .obtained at the Commission. Off ices at Salt' Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $10.00, nq part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a letter from' an .approved surety company guaranteeing to furnish, said bid: der with, required bond. The; right to reject any or all blii is reserved. Cash, certified check, cashier's check, or approved proposal guarantee .bond for not less than, five per cent of. total amount of bid made payable to the State. Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of . good faith ;and a. guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will exec- r . n . . - ... ute - the contract and furnish contract bond as required.
