Show Caesar Myers, Long-Time Teacher Buried At Panguitch On October 28th Funeral services for Caesar Myers, 77, were held in the Panguitch North ward church Oct. 28. Prayer in the home by Pres. Vernon L. Holman. Prelude and postlude music, Nina H. Steele and Irene McEwen; song, "I Need Thee Every Hour," choir; prayer, Wilford Roe; talk, Parley Ipson; song by Charlyce Fowks and Kathy Taylor; tribute, Hilda Gardner; song, "My Faith In Thee," Uet-ta Reid and Kate Chidester; talk, Rudolph Church; remarks by Bishop D. Kern Owens; song "Sometime We'll Understand," choir; closing prayer, James C. Tebbs. Dedication of grave by Lewis Myers; burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery under direction of Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary. Mr. Myers died of natural causes Oct. 24th In a Salt Lake hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1888 in Panguitch to John E. and Mary Cooper Myers. On April 23, 1913 he married Ethel MacFarlane in the St. George Temple. Mr. Myers attended Branch Normal School, University of Utah. He was a teacher in the Garfield School District for 41 years; Garfield County Clerk for two terms; received the Distinguished Service Candle of Panguitch. Survivors: widow; sons, dau- fhters: Mrs. M. Vee (Mary) by, Panguitch; Mrs. Max (Ruth) Kyte, Salt Lake City; Champ, Santa Clara, Calif.; Ray, Mona; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Ambrose, Horace, James, all of Panguitch; Angus, Delta. |
