Show Figures Given On Couniy Housing, Panduitch Businesses An interesting set of figures are those released by the U.S. Census Bureau listing housing and facilities in that housing In Garfield County. U.S. Census The 1960 Census in Gariield County counted 1336 housing units. Of these, 661 were In sound condition with all plumbing. 965 were occupied. 790 were occupied by owners. $6,100 was the median value of owner occupied plarcs. 17a were occupied by renters. 64 I were trailer homes. 1029 had hot and cold running water. 952 had flush toilets. 960 bath tub or fhowcr. 524 had base- Jj mcnts. 405 had TV. 058 had f radios. 562 had telephones. jj 858 had washing machines. 108 had clothes dryers. 394 had J home food freezers. 664 had 1 automoble. 141 had 2 automobiles. 18 had 3 or more automobiles. Detailed information on housing for the state, cities and counties is presented in Series IIC(l) No. 46, Utah, published by the Bureau of Census and sold by the Supt. of Documents, Government Printing Office, Washington 25, D.C, and by Field Offices of the U.S. Dept. of Com-mcrcc. The price per copy is C5c. Statistics released by the Salt Lake City office of Dun & Bradstrect, Inc., reflect the trend of business population in Garfield County during the past year. Figures obtained from a physical count if of the D&B Reference Book for January, 1962, totaled 71 manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers in this area who seek or grant commercial credit, but does not include some of the service of professional businesses such as beauty and barber shops, security dealers and real estate brokers. The Reference Book, which is the world's largst regularly published volume, Is revised every 60 days to keep the business listings current. |
