Show Lady Lions Hold Gala Opening Meeting The Lady Lions officially began their 1961-62 year of activity with a lovely party held at the Eryce Canyon Cafe on Monday, October 9. lioness President Isabel Ipson conducted the gala affair. Li oness Margie Prince was hostess chairman with lionesses Ilamona Howard and Lylo Miller co-hostesses for the evening. The tables were beautiful, Lclng decorated with a center piece , of a huge pump! A with bril liantly cviori i fall leaves and red Pyrauutffta berries; other decorations were bouquets of fall flowers and leaves and individual favors were shiny red apples topped with a large autumn leaf bearing tho name of the member or guest The following program lilgh lighted the evening: Vocal solo "September Song", Pat Dix accompanied by Elaine Riggs; piano solo "Dance of the Demons", Elaine Riggs; report on Miss Garfield's trip to tho State Fair by Judl Tebbs (Judl modeled tho lovely formal which she wore at the Fair and which was made by Margie Prince; monologue 'The Tenament Window", Margie Prince; vocal solo "Stranger in Paradise", Pat Dix accompanied by Elaine Riggs; vocal solo "You Are Love", Elaine Riggs accompanied by her mother Hope Truman. A delicious luncheon was served by the new proprietors of Bryce Canyon Cafe, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Soper. Twenty five members and guests enjoyed the evening very much. |
