I'm beginning to think Mother Nature is missing her calling. We've had some beautiful rain clouds hanging black and threatening over the valley for several days now but they just won't give us any moisture. The heat has Lccn almost unbearable; Lc-ona Lyman's post office thermometer registered 99 a few days ago. The water situation Isn't too good either. We have a hug reservoir on top of the mt. but it has quite a few places In it where the water drains out so that by the time it can be turned out for Irrigation use there isn't enough left to do much good. The Town Board Water committee has been taking turns for several weeks going up and trying to discover where the holes are. When they discover as many places as they can they will put bentonite around to seal them up. Then there shouldn't be any water problem for us.
