Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Scaled proposals will be received by the State Road Commission of Utah, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 1960, and at that jtlme publicly opened for construction of a 3" Plant Mix Bituminous Surfaced Road in Garfield County, the same being that section of U.S. 89 from Panguitch Northerly 4.2 Miles identified as State Project No. 1682. The length of road to be constructed or Improved is 4.256 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: 20,700 Tons of Plant Mix Bituminous Sur-face, Type "A" and 1252 Ton9 of Bituminous Material. The project is to be completed in 60 working days. Prequallfication of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and specifications, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Pre-qualification Statement per-taining to contractor's experience and financial condition. Not less than the general prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah, effective July 1, 1959, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed on this project. Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Richfield, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded, Each bidder must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any , or all bids is reserved. Cash, certified check, cash-, ier"s check, or approved pro-' posal guarantee bond for not less, than five per cent of tot-al amount of bid made payable to tho State Road Commission must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish contract bond as required.
