Show Camp Cornelia Meets D.U.P. Camp Cornelia met at the home of Irene S. Hatch on Thursday, Sept. 25, with Mrs. Hatch, president, presiding. Music, Nina Steele; Prayer, chaplain Lucy Pendleton; minutes read by Preal Veater; Lesson given by Roene Houston and Alta Talbot; Pioneer Poem read by Annie Wilcock: History of Mrs. Mollie Clark, who is 99 years old, was read by Fenejla Sevy; piano music by Nina Steele; a Pioneer Story was given by Lucy Pendleton. Refreshments were served by hostesses Roene Houston, Preal Veater and Irene, S. Hatch. QUesters Club Meets The regular monthly meeting of the Questers was held Thursday, Sept. 25th, in the High School Home Ec. Room, with president Mamie Hatch conducting. Prayer was offered by Marilyn Veater. The program was under the direction of Verda Tebbs, with Ruth Henrie, also Mary Stubbs of Parowan, presenting an interesting demonstration of candy making and chocolate dipping. - Refreshments were served to 15 members and 3 guests by hostesses 11a Mae Crabb and Myrtle Heywood, JUDD GARNER Exchanging nuptial vows Sept. 12 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple were Miss Judith Judd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Judd of Panguitch, and Larry N. Garner, son of Mr. and Mrs Lawrence A. Garner of West Point. President Albert G. Elg-gren officiated. A reception followed in the West Point LDS Recreation Hall. The couple received guests before a pink and white arch decorated with bells, ribbons and baskets of gladioli. The bride was lovely in an original model of bridal satin designed with fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves. The skirt was enhanced by insertions of lace and seed pearls, and flowed into a soft train. Her fingertip veil of silk nylon net was caught to a tiara of seed pearls and iridescent sequins. Tiny pink rosebuds nestled in jeweled lace and tulle with satin streamers, made up the bridal bouquet. Miss Kae Henrie was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Judith Dalton, Miss Sharon K. Miles and Miss Sherl-ene Myers. They wore apricot-colored brocade frocks wth white lace gloves and carried nile green carnation nosegays encircled in lace. Bryce Garner was best man. Barrel J. King ushered. The bride's table covered with a nile green cut-work cloth displayed a three-tiered cake trimmed with doves, pink roses and silver leaves and topped by tiny ceramic replica of bride and bridegroom. Background music was given by Janice Clark, and Ricky and Randy Cuatto. After a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas and California the couple are residing in West Point. Pre-nuptial events included a trousseau tea given by the .bride's mother, and parties given by Mrs. Margene Moore and Mrs. Donna Peterson, |
