Show TROPIC Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cope, and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Cros-grovc were weekend visitors with Mrs. Cecy Pollock. All members of the Samuel Pollock family living in town were present at a farewell party for the Lamolne Pollocks and the Afton Pollocks held Sunday evening. Speakers i n Sacrament meeting were: Gail Ott, Betty Lou Shakespear, Melvin Mecham, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cope. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Barton are visiting here this week. It seems that the meeting held Saturday to organize a local Fire Dept. was a failure. Only 3 board members and a citizen turned out. What is the matter with our townspeople? Haven't they any public spirit? Fred Daly is home from the hospital and up and goln' on his crutches with his leg In a cast. From all reports, Fred says: "Horses and Pick-Upj just don't mix too well." Afton Peterson is visiting with her mother this week. Mrs. Bert Millet and sons are here visiting her mother, Mrs. Thelma Jolley. Alan Munson is home for the weekend. He has been employed by the Forest Service, and will leave for New York, to attend a photography schaal Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pollock were recent visitors at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. John Mecham and Gary Don and the Cloyd Mechams took a trip to the Grand Canyon. On the way home they visited the Clyde It. Bybee family in Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle LeFevre were in Delta visiting and on business. The Garn Olson family visited in town last week. Mrs. Esther Adair, Vivian Adair, Ella Adair and the Ur-sel Otts attended the Widtsoe reunion at Pine Lake Aug. 16: Franklin Marshall is visiting his mother Viola Marshall. Mary Ann Adair has returned to Kansas after spending the -summer as an em ployee at Bryce Canyon. Spending a day in Richfield were: Ella and Bonnie Adair, Marian Shakespear, the Wallace Otts. The W. H. Mangums were in Beaver for dental appointments recently. A birthday party for Hope Wintch was held on August 15, at the home of her son Kent.. |
