Show DUP Camps Report November And December Activities DUP CAMPS MEET Camp Cornelia The DUP Camp Cornelia met at the home of Fenella Se vy Thursday, Nov 21, at 3 pm. President Irene S. Hatch pre. sided and conducted. Song, "Down By The River", accompanied by Thora Foy; Prayer by Chaplain Lucy Pendleton; Minutes were read by Preale Veater. Song for Mabel Miller, sung by members. Lesson, Pioneer Houses and Enclosures, was given by Annie Wilcock. A pi. a'rio "selection was played by" Elaine Farnsworth. History of Ira Stern's Life was given by Delia Hatch. A piano selection by Lee Ann Farnsworth was the final number on the program. Refreshments were served to 15 members by hostesses Fenella Sevy, Lucy Pendleton and Gean LeFevre. Camp Loyllova The November meeting of the Loyllova camp of the DUP was held at the home of LaRe-ta Worthen. She had collected a number of pioneer relics that added.zest to the occasion, such as an article or two that were 100 years old. A lamp that was purchased by her grandparents the year her father (Benjamin Cameron) was born; her husband had con. verted it into a beautiful elec trie lamp. She had a brass bucket, an iron kettle, a clock, some dishes, vases, handwork, etc. Bessie Talbot, 1st vice pres., conducted the meeting. Chap-plain Laura Worthen offered the prayer. The group sang "The Captain with the Whis-kers", a pioneer song, under tho direction of Bell Cooper accompanied by LaReta Worthen at the piano. A History of John Wesley Norton was given by a gredt granddaugh. ter Myrtle P. Slack; she also gave a testimony of her grand-father Prince's. Bell Cooper and Letha Moore sang "That Brave Band of Pioneers". Ma-ry Dickinson gave an original poem. The lesson was given by Susa G. Walker, "The Utah War 1857-8. Refreshments were served by the hostesses. Bessie Talbot, Myrtle Slack, Allie Partridge, and Sevy. The December meeting was held at the home of Belle Boy-ter, with Pres. Myrtle Slack conducting the activities. Pra. yer by the Chaplain Laura Worthen. Song by a chorus of Daugh-ters, "The Dearest Spot is Home"; we are stressing the pioneer songs this year. The History of her great grandfather Dalley was given by Tes-sie Talbot; she had a picture of her grandfather and grandmother and their pioneer home in Summit, Iron Co. Utah. Song "Down by the River" by Bell Cooper. The lesson Pipnee: Homes and Enclosures, given by Susa Walker, supplement ed by readings given by Alice P. Worthen, Lena Miller and Ruby Roe.
