Show ? & ' NOTICE TO WATfcll USERS The following applications have been filed with the State Engineer to appropriate water In Garflold County, State of Utah, throughout the entire year, unless otherwise designated. "All locations are from SLB&M. 25421 - Gar Kane Power Association, Inc., Richfield, Ut. J 50 sec.-ft. from East Fork and West Fork of Boulder Creek, trlb. to Escalante River to Colorado River at points and In amounts as follows: East Fork of Boulder Creek -N. 44'28'W. 4170 ft. - 30 sec.-ft; (2) West Fork of Boulder Creek - N.62'10' W. 15,650 ft. - 20 sec.-ft., both from SE Cor. Sec. 10, T32S, R4E. The water will be diverted from point of diversion No. 2 by means -,of a dam and conveyed through 18,500 ft. of 24-'in. pipe andor ditch to point of diversion No. 1, where it will be commingled with the waters-of East Fork of Boulder Creek and rediverted, along with the 30 sec.-ft. o f water from East Fork, by means of a dam, forming a small equalizing reservoir, and thence conveyed through 22,200 ft. of31-ln. and 34 in. pipe to power plant located in NWU Sec. 35, T32 S, R4E, where it will be used for power purposes in Sevier, Piute, Kane, Wayne and Garfield Counties. 30 sec.-ft. of the waters of East Fork will be returned at the following points and in amounts as follows: (1) 1.25 sec.-ft. or a quantity to satisfy the decreed rights thereunder will be pumped from the tailraco of the power plant through 3900 ft. of 8-ln. pipe and delivered into the upper end of the East Branch of the Lyman Canal at a point S. 8'30'E. 1500 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 23, T32S, R4E, or released directly from the penstock underpressure and delivered to the same point. (2) 3.25 Bec.-ft. or a quantity to satisfy the decreed' rights thereunder to be conveyed from the aforesaid tailrace through 3000 ft. of canal and delivered to the East Branch of the Lyman Canal at a point S. 25'40'E. 7250 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 23, T32S, R4E. (3) A maximum of 30 sec.-ft. of the waters of East Fork of Boulder Creek, or all water not returned as stated above, will be conveyed from the aforesaid tailraco through 50 ft. of open ditch and delivered, to the West Branch of the Lyman Canal at a point S. 40 00'E. 1400 ft. from NW Cor. said Sec. 35 and conveyed by West Branch of Lyman Canal to a dividing point located N. 25'00'E. 1300 ft. from SW Cor. Bald Sec. 35, where 9.C4 sec.-ft., or a quantity of water to satisfy the decreed rights thereunder, will be allowed to flow in said canal to the various diversions therefrom and all of the remaining water not so delivered, as herein above stated, will be conveyed by ditch from the aforesaid dividing point 7000 ft. and returned to the channel of the main fork of Boulder Creek at point N. 78'00'E 1000 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 3. T33S, R4E. 20 sec.-ft. of the waters of East Fork will .be returned as fol- lows: After tho maximum 20 sec.-ft. of water of the West Fork passes through tho powerhouse, It will be returned to the main fork of Bouldor Creek, along with a maximum of 30 Bec.-ft. of the waters of the East Fork of Boulder Creek, as stated above, through 50 ft. of open ditch and delivered to the West Branch of the Lyman Canal at a point S. 40'00' .E 1400 ft. from NW Cor. said Sec. 36, and conveyed by said West Branch of the Lyman Canal to a dividing point located N. 26'00'E. 1300 ft. from 8W Cor. said Sec. 36, where it will bp conveypd through 7000 ft, of ditch and returned to the channel of tho main fork of Boulder Creek at a pblnt N. 78'00'E. 1900 ft. from SW Cor, Sec. 3, T33 . S, R4E. 27390 - Pine Creek Irrigation Co., Escalante, Ut.j 710 ac-ft. from an Unnamed Stream, trlb. to West Fork of Pine Creek to Pine Creek to Escalante River at a point S. 6340'E. 10,368 ft. from SE Cor. Sec. 36, T31 B, RIB, which la the point of Intersection of the longitudinal axis of tho existing Impounding dam of the Roundy Lake Reservoir and the center-lino of tho streambed. It is proposed to Increase tho height of the Impounding dam from 6 'ft. to 16 ft., enlarging the .reservoir from a capacity of 189.8 ac-ft. to a capacity of 899,8 ac-ft., creating an Increased capacity of 710 ac-ft. The reservoir created thereby will Inundate 120 acres In NEtt Sec 9, SEW Sec. 4, T 32S, R2E in unaurvoyod territory. The water will be stored' from Oct. 1 to Apr. 30 and released from May 1 to Sept. 30 Into the natural channel of West Fork of Pine 'Creek and conveyed thereby 8 miles to 'Pine Creek where it will be conveyed 13 miles and rediverted at a point N. 7'iO'E. 5870 ft.. from-N W Cor- Sec. 5, T35S, R3E and thence conveyed through 10,260 ft. of ditch and used as a supplemental supply from May 1 to Sept. 30 to irrigate 750 acres in EVNWU, SEtt Sec 6, N SWU. NV2, Ny2SE Sec. 8, WJoNW, NSWK Sec. 9, EU.ENE Sec. 7. W V2SWSWK Sec. 4, T36S, R3E. 28232 - Bert Warrington, 4871 San Fernando Road, Glendale, Calif.; 0.022 sec.-ft. for miscellaneous use from Sandy Creek, trlb. to Freemont River at a.point N. 1500 ft. and E. 2280 ft frdm SW Cor. Sec. 17, T31S, R8E. The diverting and carrying workB will consist of a small diversion dam anu pump. The water will be used for drilling opera-, tions, core drilling, road sprinkling, and washing coal and equipment, in Sees. 8, 17 and 21, T31S, R8B. Protests resisting the granting of any of the foregoing applications, with reasons therefor, must be In affidavit form, with extra copy and filed with the State Engineer, 403 State Capitol, Salt Lake City 14, Utah, on or bofore April 6. 1957.
