Show Loyhova Camp Meets The November meeting of the DUP Loyhova Camp was held Nov. 20th at the home of Lena W. Miller; 18 members and 4 guests were entertained by hostesses Lena W. Miller, Amelia Woodard and Mary Clark. The program consisted of: Prayer by the Chaplain, Laura Worthen; song by DUP chorus, "The Ship That Never Returned" accompanied by Dora Clove. Report of DUP convention held in Salt Lake City given by Captain Myrtle Slack who was presiding and conducting. Minutes of previous meeting read by Secretary Hazel Sevy, and approved. A History of John Calvin La-zell Smith was read by Lena W. Miller. The Lesson "Utah Lakes" was presented, and much enjoyed, by Susa G. Walker. Song by Chorus, "When You And I Were Young Maggie". by reporter. Alice P. Worthen PORTER SAVAGE ENGAGED TO WED Mrs. Mariah Adair of Escal-ante announces the marriage of her daughter, Deloa Porter, to Frank Savage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Savage of Antimony. The young couple exchanged vows November 14th in Nevada and are now living in Cedar City where he has employment. Miss Karen Dutton Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Dutton of Cannonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen, to Mr. Al Sivils, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sivils of Alabama. The young couple plan to be married on March 7th. Miss Suzanne Foreman Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Foreman of Monroe announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Suzanne, to Albert Dee Sevy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert D. Sevy of Panguitch. The young couple will be married in the St. George Temple on December 23rd. About the 4th of January, they will leave for Florida where he is stationed at the Tyndall Air Force Base. |
