Show Panguitch High School News ItV WAYXIJ OWEXS Diessed like two undertaker and a corpse, three ghostly ladlf from Spry carted away llrst prize at the Masquerade liall last Saturday night. Colleen Allen, Mary Perkins and corpse Heth Whitney, who actually had her own home-made casket on her sheet-draped back, were unmasked and presented a $D bill, for best costumes and reality. Second prize was nabbed by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, .lanlece Dalton and JoAnn Heap Irom Hatch. Third prize and $1 went to Helen Wilson who was transformed Into a Marilyn Monroe, and who proably surprised more people than any other when she was unmasked. Honorable mention went to many, Including "esklmos" Kenny Roe and Joe Wllcock, and to I.aVera Hcnrle, the "Haunch-back of Notro Dame". This occasion was just one of the many activities sponsored by the PHS Social Committee. On last Friday, to create some Interest In It, two of the committee dressed up In supposedly funny (they were, so they tell Seminary building, throwing me) costumes ana went from loom to room, Including the confetti on teacher, student, and floor alike. This was, of course, enjoyed by all, especially the custodian of the beloved Institution. The only one who didn't appreciate their enthusiasm was one of the new-faculty members who did get provoked and who did cuss. I guess the poor man hasn't acquired his PHS sense of humor yet. Ood be with him till he does. With an eye to the future, two clubs here try to prepare ftudenjs for what might be their future occupations; thatof farming and of being a 'housewife.
