Show Contract Let For New Tropic School Building Members of the Uarfleld County Bonn! of Education look over plans for the new school building at Tropic. The contract for construction of a fine new school building at Tropic was let Thursday by the Garfield County 'Board of Education. The Mac Construction Co. of Salt Lake City won the con. tract with a bid of I454,60T. Jack C. Alder, one of the three partners owning the Mac Co., was on hand to represent the company. According to Supt. Floyd Holm the bidding was close and competitive with ten firms bidding for the job. Mr. Alder said the Mac Co. would try to use as much local labor as possible In the construe- ' tlon work. He also state! that work would start as soon as prao-tlcable so that frost or bad ther would not interrupt or de, lay work.
