According to Garfield County Agricultural Agent, Kay Bendlxsen, the past few weeks grasshopper outbreaks on the range have been serious en- , ough to warrant control meas- I ures. Under the direction of the Forest Service and Bureau ot Entomology, more than 7,500 acres of range land"were sprayed on the East Fork reseeded range. In the Little Valleys and surrounding range, about 6,000 more acres have been sprayed. Grasshoppers are also attacking the hay and other crops In some parts of the county.
