One hardy bunch of seniors will board the old yellow bus, and leave town early this Sunday morning for Las-Vegas, and we are looking forward to this last trip together with great anticipation. There will be about 36 of us. Including our driver Oliver Huntington and Mr. and Mrs. Don Flora, whom we have chosen to be our chaperones. We, will stay probably only during swimming hours at the WltU wer Motel which has Its own pool, and our trip wilt Include a tour of anything we can get into, and, of course, nlghtciub-blng. just like the grown-ups. We won't be gone-long, just till Tuesday night, and probably we won't even be missed, but you can rest assured that we'll be down there those three days with greed In our eyes and a'few coins clutched In our grubby little perspiring Dalms, looking for someplace where there isn't a cop. We're planning on doubling the class funds, if we can get them away from Principal Mer-rell. He doesn't want us to try It. He thinks it's too risky. Six of us traveled over the hill last Saturday to present from the studios of Station KS-UD in Cedar City a program of, our talent and our newt. Our very short stay Included an explanation of how everything works, and an invitation to com'e back when we can. We werelm. pressed with everything and everybody; the station has a great bunch of people running It, They all' seemed to be wry Interested In schools and students and they Invited us to enter competition for two scholarships which the station gives away. |
