Well, we didn't do so good at Marysvale last week, but if you were lucky you got to see the boys expert teamwork as they edged to a 44-40 victory last Friday night over Bryce Valley the boys from Tropic. In the last few seconds, with a 41-40 Pangultch score, Norwood Pendleton had the ball and wan fouled by a B.V. boy. He made his first ehot but missed the second. Taken off the board by Alan Worthen of Pangultch, the ball neatly flicked through the net to bring the score up to the final 44-40. Thus the Bryce Valley plot to beat Pangultch on their own floor was foiled, but It was close. . . The Wednesday before that, at Marysvale, we dropped into an early lead and used some strategy which Coach Val Church thought gave us our best chance to win, This worked fine for the first two quarters, but In the last half, the Marysvale boys begrn to feel their oats and rambled away to a' 46-26 victory over the Bobcats . .. Tomorrow night, the 29th, the team will travel to Plute High School to play the Chieftains. There are quite a few tickets for the game available Call Russ Merrell at 43. |
