The statement state-ment is also aimed at tourists and campers and points out whnHo do in case of fire in the woods. The Forest Guide? and the Boy Scouts nre also urged to spread this message which follows: Never drop lighted matches or smoking materials in the woods or fields or along the roads without putting out the match absolutely or stamping tho "smoko" into the mineral soil. Never build nn open fire for nnv nurnose near the woods or fields when the woods nre drv Never leave any fire until it is out. Drench it with wafor or cover it completely with mineral soil. Never pass even the smallest small-est fire unnoticed. Put it out vourself or see a fire warden, tho owner or some responsible lesident starts for it before you leave. Firo travels with the wind always. Stop its front first mid put out. the sides and rear later. Sand or soil will smother smoth-er it, benting will kill it, but water is always best. Flirt water or soil along tho line, do not dump it in ono place. Benf toward tho fire to avoid spreading it.
