| Show TO REMOVE COURT HOUSE FRONT FENCE at the meeting of the board ot of county commissioners yesterday morning the matter ot of removing the iron fence in front ot of the court house grounds came up upeor for discussion and the commissioners ners ers voted to have said fence T N taken down by this action the appearance pe arance ot of the beautiful grounds will show up to a much better advantage especially when the rock base Is removed and the ground ro rounded down to the walk and planted rolawn to lawn M G korth the tender has taken great pride in keeping the grounds in excellent shape it has been stated by prominent visitors that no where in the state Is there a city the size ot of brigham or even twice the size that can boast of having a more beautiful grounds than those surrounding the court house in this city when the fence is removed the view from forest street will attract the gaze of tourists and all visitors coming within our gates A number of prominent people in this community have been urging tor for years past that this fence be removed of course there Is a difference of opinion in this matter just as there Is in all public affairs some argue that the fence should remain where it now stands man many favor its removal but now that the commissioners have decided to have hare it removed those who have not been fully convinced that the removal is a benefit will have an opportunity port unity to see just how the grounds appear without the fence we would suggest that the big double gate in front of the court house be preserved when taken down and turned over to the city this gate with its large granite posts would make a splendid entrance to the south side of the cemetery it could be j 1 somewhere somewhere nair near memorial al parl parka and aside from presenting a beautiful spectacle would serve as a great convenience ven veni tence ence to the citizens who enter the cemetery from east fifth south street |
