Show Elder Kirkham Returns. Last Thursday Joseph II. Kirkham returned homo from a mission to California. Ho loft for California on the 19th of February 1908, going direct to San Francisco. He was appointed ap-pointed to labor at San Jose at which place he did missionary work for about three months, aud was thon assigned to labor at Oakland, horo ho remained about six months. From Oak land ho was transferred to Los Angeles where he labored for the remainder of his mission. Elder Kirkham reports the mission in a very favorable condition. con-dition. The great thing the elders havo to contend with is the indifference of tho people toward religion of any kind. Recently a part of Arizona has been joined to tho California mission, this will increase tho labors of President Robinson and his olders. During tho time Joseph has spent as a missionary he has enjoyed tho best of health, and reports the privilege of baptizing baptiz-ing five poople. Lehi Banner.
