Show DRINKS CARBOLIC ACID. On tho evening of Thanksgiving day at tho homo of Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Brown, formerly of this city, who now reside at 249 Vcat, 34th street, Ogdon, Victor Turnor, son of a railroad rail-road conductor, drank carbolic acid In tho presenco of his sweet heart. Miss Llbble Brown, and died about 15 or 20 minutes later. Before ho drank tho poison ho said: "I am going to join tho man with tho cross-bones." Miss Brown's statements to an Og-den Og-den Standard reporter, wero to tho effect that Mr. Turner and her were good friends and on tho best of terms and that there was absolutely no reason rea-son for him committing tho rash act. Medical aid was summoned, but tho young man was too far gono to bo saved and ho died shortly after. Funeral sorvlces wero held in that city Monday. , |
