Cattle receipts last week wero larger j than they have been running for several . weeks, and tho market averaged tho highest of any week this year for all kinds of killing cattle. Blockers and feeders reached too high a figure- Monday to hold up, nnd as receipts of this class wero liberal, and the demand restricted account of the high raugo, prices dropped 30 to f!0 cents by the closo of tho week. The run today ,10,000, market about same on all kinds. There is a better sale for the meat than a short time ago, and al though receipts arc running heavier than expected, the situation Is healthy. A good many fed Colorados and Oklahoma Okla-homa cattlo were hero today, steers selling sell-ing at 0 10 to 0 70, cows 3 fiO to 5 60, ' calves at 3 75 to C 75, stockcrs at 3 75 to 5 40, feeders at 4 05 to 5 CO. Grass cattle ' will move earlier than usual this season, as everything came through the winter In such good shape that stock going on pasture had a big advantage tliU year over the ordinary season. Sheep receipts last wcok wero 13,000, a considerable increase over both the previous week and the corresponding week a year ago. Buyers took hold at the start, and bought freely all week, closing prices standing slightly better than tho opening of the wcok. Receipts at Uufalo lately havo been light, which enables western packers to sell more meat in tho East, and this accounts for tho freo buying hero lately. Tho run today Is 15,000 hend, lambs steady, but Texns mutton slightly lower. Woolcd lambs from Colorado sold at 0 00 to 7 35, which top Is highest here In two weeks. Clipped lambs go at 0 10 to 0 50, clipped western sheep 6 25 to 0 00, Including yearlings. Quality of Texas muttons is not good today, 84 to 00 pounds weathers at 5 20 to G 30, ewes worth 5 00 to 5 20, choice wethers 0 50, and medium to common mixed sheep 425 to 4 75, A good many goals havo been included lately, at .1 40 to 3 85, Arizona ewes last week nt 5 25, nnd somo spring lambs, medium clnsscs, from Arizona nt 5 05.
