"When Lincoln was practising law," ho said, "ho had a caso involving a disputed will. The opposition claimed the will was gonulno and for several hours adduced proof of this. For Lincoln, who had to provo tho will a forgery, things looked blnck. "Lincoln, bowover, only called ono witness, a retired paper manufacturer, manufactur-er, renowned tho country over for his wealth and probity.
