Within the past week we havo had somo Idaho feeders at .4 73, stockers 4 25, Colorado medium to common cows today at 'i 00, panhandle cow's at 2 70 to 3 10, stockers around 4 00. Prices on all classes of cattle aro at tho top figures of the winter just now. Supply is 0000 head today, small for Monday, and tho market is strong to 10 higher, most strength beiug shown by cows uud heaters, heat-ers, with atockers and feeders a clos second. Receipts will run about tho same as lost January this month, but the tendency seems toward smaller runs fur February. Fed cuttle all making mouoy for tho feeders, aud it is only naturul that thcro should bo a phenomenal du-muud du-muud for stuff to go back to the country. Black feeders sold at 0 00 today, and bulk fccdora.arc at 4 00 to 4 80, stockers selling at 3 CO to 4 SO. The mutton market closed last week without any great change in prices, but with weaker feelings on wethers aud ewes. Tho supply today is 10,000 head, lambs steady to a shade lower, sheep weak to 10 lower. Run last week totaled 80,000 head, which is several thousand Bhort of corresponding week last year, and tho supplies for January will show a shrinkage of moro than 20 from January Jan-uary last year. With no prospect of any incrcaso in receipts, tho market should strengthen, rather than not, during February. Lambs are selling today within tho narrow rungo cf 7 25 to 7 60, 71 lb, pea fed lambs from Monto Vhta selling at tho latter price. Western Meat Company owes sold at 5 20 Friday, wethers weth-ers at 6 70, which was a reduction of 6 cents in each case from sales of the samo stun earlier in the week.
